Rural by Design relies on active collaboration involving individuals and organizations throughout Knox County. Our economic innovations involving local agriculture depend on the advice and counsel of The Ohio State University Extension Office—Knox County and the Knox County Local Food Council. The Philander Chase Corporation contributed significantly to the creation of the Kenyon Farm. Mount Vernon City Council assumed leadership for the permanent installation of our exhibit on local public spaces, The Place to Be. Forging partnerships such as these across the community constitutes an essential element contributing to rural sustainability.
